Anonymous asked: how many unanswered questions do you have? I submitted mine almost a month ago and you still haven't answered it. I don't want to offend you, I'm just curious.

I’m sorry, Anon. I will answer this question of yours immediately.

I have 94 messages in my inbox right now. I’m working on getting through them whenever I can—sometimes I think it must be obvious that I’m answering when I’m sleepy considering the typos and the weird grammar that slips through. But it’s tough because every time people see me answering questions they tend to send more in. I went on a big question-answering binge a few nights ago and felt really accomplished until I realized people had sent exactly as many questions back in as I had answered. The number of messages in my inbox was exactly the same as when I’d started.

This is not me complaining. This is simply me asking once again for everyone’s patience.

For whatever reason, I’ve mostly been working from a point in the middle of my inbox out in both directions. I don’t even know how that became my system, but it is.

The oldest unanswered questions are about why Jim killed himself, who made the phone call about Mrs. Hudson being shot, and a few people wanting me to look at their personal theories. Apologies to all of those askers for the delay. Basically all I can say is that you have not been forgotten. (It would actually really help me if the messages on Tumblr had dates, because then I’d have a better idea of how long you’d each been waiting. I don’t tend to keep very good track of that sort of thing on my own. Which is probably how I end up doing arbitrary things like working from the middle of the stack.)

And of course, everyone’s still welcome to resubmit their question if they think it may have been lost. Or even if your ask wasn’t lost, it’ll probably draw my attention to the fact that you’re still waiting. (Of course, I can’t say I’d recommend resending your question every few hours or anything, because that might not work out how you’d like. But I think almost everyone who’s been sending in questions knows how to be polite, so I’m not too worried about that.)

Thank you all very much for the patience you have shown so far. If I had a good way to answer every one of your questions right now, I absolutely would. Even if it would cause a minor dashboard explosion. <3
