Jim and his organization use threats very effectively, as shown with the jurors. Wouldn't it be easier (and less risky) for the assassin to say "After the police take you, they're going to bring in a man to talk to you. Here's his picture. Don't tell him anything. In fact, I want you to pretend to be afraid of him. If you don't, I'm going to kill your parents."

(Scream theory.)

Please don’t take this the wrong way, but with any theory I post someone will say I’m trying to make things too clever and someone else will say it’s not nearly clever enough for Mofftiss. So I kind of can’t care how clever or unclever anyone else thinks my ideas are or I’ll be going around in circles soon enough.

I feel there are issues with the idea that Jim made threatening a little girl (whose parents were better protected than average, by the way, since her father was out of the country as an ambassador) the linchpin in his very elaborate plan. There are issues with even assuming Jim’s plan depended on the scream at all, considering Claudette could’ve just as easily ended up unconscious as her brother did. And frankly, I think it’s just a little weird to imagine they cast people who look vaguely like John and Sherlock as two of Jim’s gunmen by coincidence considering how very different all the other assassins looked.

But if you think it’s too complicated my way, that’s fine. I don’t mind. It’s not the kind of thing I can really change your mind about, because it’s completely subjective.
